Coaching
Coaching, according to the official definition of the International Coaching Federation, is “partnering with the client in a creative process, which provokes the thought and inspires him to maximize his personal and professional potential”. As part of this creative process, the Coach encourages the client to focus on the present and the future and take steps that will bring him closer to achieving his goals and dreams. Instead of focusing on the problem, we focus on solving it. The goal of coaching is success and happiness, as defined by each and every one of us. As a method, coaching combines elements from psychology, sports, pedagogy and business. Influenced by Socrates, building on a dynamic and creative dialogue that generates ideas, coaching helps you identify strengths as well as obstacles that may exist. The most popular types of coaching are:
• Executive coaching
• Life coaching
• Career coaching
• Business coaching
• Relationship/Conflict coaching
Individual Sessions
In the individual sessions, the patient focuses on issues that concern him and identifies his personal difficulties, entanglements but also hidden strengths of himself. He learns to recognize his feelings and then to express them, exploring new methods of dealing with the issues that concern him. It is a process in which the patient, always accompanied by a psychologist, explores new ways to overcome his difficulties and personal concerns and even seeks the real meaning of his life. The meaning that will help him evolve and get closer to achieving his goals. The patient along with the therapist embark on an exciting journey in order to achieve the patient’s goals and of course a journey to self-knowledge and self-discovery. All of the above, take place in an environment of mutual trust, honesty and acceptance, the foundations that form a proper and ideal therapeutic relationship to achieve the desired result.
Counseling & Guidance
Counseling is a process of communication that aims to help an individual, or a group of people, who face difficulties and problems that they can not manage on their own. These problems can relate to their interpersonal relationships, the relationship with themselves, their professional life, and their adaptability in difficult situations. It can also act at the level of prevention, as an effort to inform and sensitize people. A first distinction of counseling can be made, in terms of methodology and procedure, into individual and group. Individual counseling is conducted between the counselor and the consulted, while group counseling is an interpersonal process between the counselor and two or more people who have something in common. In terms of the type of help it provides and the characteristics of the people to whom it is addressed, there are different types of counseling psychology, such as occupational counseling, professional counseling, parent counseling, peer counseling, etc.
Stress Management
Stress is a physical and mental reaction to a threat, or a request to deal with demanding situations. When a person feels stressed his body is tense and his brain is triggered by multiple thoughts. Everyone is exposed to stressful situations every day. Stress can even be positive – the so-called eustress – when one is called to deal with it rarely (or only sometimes) and to a limited extent. In this case it acts as a catalyst and activates the person to manage and deal with any situations. The more frequent and intense the stress, the more difficult it is to deal with daily obligations. Emotions, anger, frustration and fear, as well as irritability, fatigue and depression, prevail and do not allow the person to function with concentration. Stress can have a psychogenic origin, or it can be a consequence of a physical illness. In addition, it depends on the cognitive, emotional processes, the way of life of the person and the way of his perception. Every person has a certain degree of stress, which is considered normal under certain circumstances. In some cases of increased stress, however, it causes harm and contributes to the person under-functioning in his activities and to negatively affecting his health. Although stress is a natural response, it can be very intense in the long run. Stress will affect each person differently, however, there are common symptoms listed below:
• fast and / or irregular heartbeat
• fast breathing
• sweat
• motion sickness
• dizziness
• sleeping disorders
• feeling irritable
• lack of concentration
• panic attacks
Online Sessions
Conferences can be held online. The needs of the time and the modern data, as they have been shaped by the appearance of the pandemic and the application of the lockdown to deal with it, seem to lead to a continuous increase in the percentage of people who use online counseling, preferring it to traditional visits to the office of the psychologist / counselor. Some of the benefits of the online sessions are that people can be in the comfort of their own personal space to discuss issues that concern them and want to resolve them, and they are ideal for people living in remote areas as well as for people who travel frequently due to business obligations.
